What is Interview Prep AI?

Interview Prep AI is a Chrome extension that reads the content of job listing pages you visit and uses the Anthropic API to generate a personalized interview preparation guide, including likely interview questions, suggested answers, tone tips, and salary negotiation advice.

Data we collect

Interview Prep AI does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Specifically:

• We do not collect your name, email address, or any identifying information.
• We do not store the content of any web pages you visit.
• We do not track your browsing history.
• We do not use analytics or tracking tools.

Your Anthropic API Key

To use the extension, you must provide your own Anthropic API key. This key is:

• Stored locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage API.
• Never sent to our servers — it is only used to make direct requests to the Anthropic API on your behalf.
• Never shared with any third party other than Anthropic.

You can delete your API key at any time by removing the extension or clearing its storage.

How the extension works

When you click "Analyze this job", the extension:

• Reads the visible text content of the current job listing page.
• Sends that text directly to the Anthropic API using your API key.
• Displays the generated interview guide in a new tab.

No data is stored after the session ends. No data passes through our servers at any point.

Third-party services

The extension communicates with the Anthropic API (api.anthropic.com) to generate interview content. Your use of the Anthropic API is subject to Anthropic's Privacy Policy.

We have no affiliation with LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, InfoJobs or any other job board. The extension simply reads publicly visible page content.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
